Forbes.com sucks

From time to time articles appearing on Forbes.com show up on my telecom newswire. The design of Forbes.com isn’t great, but I’ve seen worse. But since yesterday when I go to an article’s page I hear a woman talking about some new features on the site! Are we back in 1998 when it’s ok to tie unrequested audio into a page? This is insane. Forbes sucks.

After a little bit of speakers off investigation it appears to be an advertisement for forbes.com, some new feature called Forbes Attaché. It’s a Flash file with audio. There is a small pause button, but it’s hard to see when you load the page because you don’t know where the audio is coming from. How about you make it a play button instead, if I care about some new feature on the Forbes site I can hit play.

I have written off reading anything at Forbes until this is changed.
