Anyone used Drupal? [updated]

Filed under: PHP | 3 Comments

Anyone out there used Drupal before? Thinking of using it for an upcoming site… Looks really slick. I really like the taxonomy feature.

Update: I think I’m going to use it for the project, which while I’m updating, is Tampa411.com.

I’ve been trying it out. I’m planning to start a new music related site and I’m considering using Drupal. I now have it running on my test server and I’m trying to come up with a nice theme and a way to host user sites (I’ve also been trying out the gateway module for php-nuke for the same purpose).

Deanspace is also based on Drupal.

I use drupal on 3 sites I run

    http://daemon.co.za .. my personal blog
    http://www.oasismag.com .. a gay community site
    http://www.brainstorm.org.za.. rave organizers

I have several more in the pipeline =)

it’s just a lovely system, and theming is getting easier all the time.

Most of the Drupal sites I’ve seen seem to be oriented towards blogs. Can it be used to host user sites where each user can provide his own content, design his own page, etc?
