An RSS free lifestyle

For the past week or two I have not had my RSS reader on for longer than a few minutes. This is a first for me in quite some time (probably a few years). My life was/is too busy to have the din of RSS compete with the off-blog life. I know this will be shocking to some people, but favorites like Kottke still exist in HTML form–I just visit every few days and see what the cool kids are up to.

How do I get my news? Well for telecom, which seems to be a large part of my day, I have dozens of PRs sent to me every day and have bookmarks to telecom news wires/sites. For world news I check CNN and the DrudgeReport inbetween my telecom wires. I am more productive without RSS.

I’ll give it another whirl in a few weeks, to see if I am missing anything.
