Finally got a SunPass

Filed under: Praise | 3 Comments

About time, but now I can speed through tolls thanks to my SunPass. It would be nice if there was a national system, but I only travel one toll road frequently so it’s not too big a loss. Interestingly enough there was an "RF Shield" bag in the packaging, it looks like the foil bags that RAM comes in. I suppose that’s what you use if you don’t want to use it for a toll?

Neat information on how the system works is located here.

I’ve had a SunPass for a couple years. Alas, due to nothing more than what I perceive as whiny laziness, I’m no longer allowed to use it for personal travel, indicate which tolls were mine, and have them automatically deducted from my paycheck. Bastards.

Should’ve said above, the transponder was, obviously, provided by my office. I haven’t personally acquired one.

i had one when i interned in central florida and commuted back and forth—it was great! i highly recommend them, esp considering how often you go to the airport and such.
