Google Personal History

Google Personal History is a pretty cool new feature where you can opt to save your personal search history. It’s the first Google web search service that requires a log-in (you can use another Google one, like from Gmail). My only beef is the search levels for the color coded calendar don’t look high enough for high-end users (the high end level is only 21+).

Of course, right on queue, the privacy goons are pissed:

"It’s really a bad idea," said [Pam] Dixon, executive director of the World
Privacy Forum. "If you need to keep track of your past searches, I
recommend using a notebook. It would be a lot more private and a lot
less risky."

Don’t go rush out and buy stock in Mead, stick to GOOG.

How long before a tag cloud gets hacked into this?
