Looking for people on low-carb diets [updated]

Filed under: Personal | 7 Comments

I’m looking for people on low-carb diets. Any low-carb diet will work, but Atkins / South Beach / Zone is most needed. Drop a comment, email or AIM (jonknee41).

Update: Clarification: I’m not going to be going on a low-carb diet (I’m too light). I am just looking for readers that are on one of the popular ones. I’ll fill you in on the details “off blog”.

  1. I am not on Atkins/SB/Zone per se, but I am on a low carb/high protein/modest fat diet and have been for the past few years. I usually cycle it though. During the winer I try and do high (good, healthy) carbs and then the spring and summer I cycle onto a low carb, really high protein diet. The key to any diet is keeping track of the food counts, which is something I need to rededicate myself to.

South Beach is great. Do yourself a favor and get the book. It’s actually a useful diet that focuses more on eating what’s right (and still good) rather than “bad foods” (there’s even a chapter about eating in restaurants). I’ve completed all 3 phases of the diet and can proudly say that after 6 weeks, I’ve lost over 20 pounds. I’m sticking to phase 3 (the most lenient of the phases) and I’m still (slowly) losing weight. The most annoying part, of course, is buying new clothes.

Yo. You didn’t seem to ask for comments about the diets, just people on them. Right here.
