Poll: Do you put email replies at the top or bottom?

This is probably as bad as introducing religion or politics, but do you place email replies before or after the text you are replying to? I’m most often a bottom replier with threading used for longer messages. My reasoning is that I like to know what I am reading, so by placing my reply at the bottom I am giving the other person context.

And you?

Completely depends on the nature of the e-mail. Most often, I have a few quoted lines, followed by my response to that portion, then a few more quoted lines, etc. If I don’t alternate this way, I usually respond on the top. Sometimes, but very seldom, is my reply completely below the quoted text–usually if the original text is somewhat short.

Top. Always. If I’m responding to several questions, doesn’t matter. If they don’t remember what they asked, they can scroll down. I’m not gonna waste my time threading everything manually.
